O R D E R
The present Writ Petition (Criminal) has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents one to three to consider the petitioner's representation dated 08.02.2026 and decide the same in accordance with law within the time stipulated by this Court.
Mr.K.M.D.Muhilan, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, takes notice on behalf of the respondents one to three. In view of the consent expressed by the learned counsel on either side, this Writ Petition (Criminal) is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that on a complaint given by the petitioner's mother-in-law, the 3rd respondent is conducting an enquiry and during the enquiry, the 4th respondent, along with her advocates and others, had come to the police station and in the presence of the police, Kangaroo Court was conducted. He would submit that the petitioner sent a representation to the 1st respondent on 08.02.2026, seeking to direct the 3rd respondent to desist from conducting Kangaroo Court, and not to harass her; since no action has been taken, the petitioner has approached this Court by way 2/6
of this petition.

Learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents one to three would submit that the 3rd respondent was not conducting Kangaroo Court; based on the complaint given by the 4th respondent to the 1st respondent, enquiry was conducted and same was registered in C.S.R.No.0186 of 2026. He would submit that the 4th respondent has alleged that by fabrication of documents, the petitioner swindled an amount to the tune of Rs.23,37,555/-. He would submit that during enquiry, both parties were accompanied by advocates, who had also come to the police station. He would submit that both parties were directed not to bring their advocates during the enquiry conducted by the respondent police. He would further reiterate that being women, neither the petitioner nor the 4th respondent were harassed by the 3rd respondent, and he only seeks a direction may be issued to both the parties not to come to the police station with the advocates and co-operate in the enquiry.

Learned counsel appearing for the 4th respondent would submit that the 4th respondent has given a complaint against the petitioner for having misappropriated her insurance amount and death benefits of her son. He would 3/6
further submit that since the 4th respondent was old aged, she was accompanied by advocates.

Heard learned counsel on either side and perused the materials placed on record.

Having heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and upon perusal of the materials available on record and taking note of the submissions made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Court directs the 3rd respondent to complete the enquiry following the due process, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after issuing summons to both the parties, and also taking into account the law and order situation. As per undertaking, the petitioner and the 4th respondent shall not take advocates with them during the time of enquiry. 9.
With the above directions, this Writ Petition (Criminal) stands disposed of. No costs.
