ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by M.M.SUNDRESH, J.] Seeking a direction to the second respondent to produce, R.Devan, aged about 55 years old, before this Court and set the detenu at liberty forthwith, the present Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed.

2. The petitioner is the wife of the detenu, found missing from 02.09.2016 while working as cook in the hostel. A case has been registered in the year 2017 for man-missing in Cr.No.21 of 2017. The status report would https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

reveal that the enquiry and the investigation are being made. However, the detenu is yet to be secured. The detenu appears to be an alcoholic addict and also in the habit of leaving the hostel on numerous occasions.

3. In view of the above, we are not inclined to keep this petition pending any longer and the Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed. However, as and when the detenu is secured, he should be produced before the jurisdictional Magistrate.
