Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issue of a Writ of Mandamus directing the 4th respondent to survey the lands comprised in survey No. 760/1C admeasuring a total extent of 94.00 Ares.

By consent, the main writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

The petitioner submitted an application in Petition No. 3556 to the 3rd respondent for surveying the lands comprised in Survey No. 760/1C, admeasuring to an extent of 94.00 Ares. Though the said application was acknowledged on 07.11.2014, the petitioner has not been favoured with any response. Hence, he has come forward to file this writ petition.

Heard the submissions of Mr.A. Saranraj, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.R.A.S. Senthilvel, learned Additional Government Pleader, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

Though the petitioner has prayed for a larger relief, this Court, in the facts and circumstances, directs the 3rd respondent to consider the application submitted by the petitioner in Petition No. 3556, acknowledged by the 3rd respondent on 07.11.2014 and pass orders, after putting on notice, the persons concerned, in accordance with law, within a period of 8 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken to the petitioner as well as to other persons concerned. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
