This Civil Revision Petition is filed by the petitioner, seeking for a direction to the 1st Additional Family Court, Chennai to dispose of the IDOP.No.2519 of 2014 on the file of the First Additional Family Court, Chennai
2. According to the petitioner, petition in I.D.O.P.No.2519 of 2014 was filed on 04.07.2014 and the same was adjourned to various dates, still continues to be at the stage of enquiry. The suit was posted on 14.06.2017.
3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner.
4. The learned counsel for petitioner would submit that the petitioner and respondent are husband and wife. Due to difference of opinion arose between them, the petitioner filed I.D.O.P.No.2519 of 2014 seeking dissolution of marriage and the same is pending. He would further submit that the suit is pending for a long time, the respondent/husband deliberately delays the proceedings and thereby harassing the petitioner/ wife. Hence, he prays for early disposal of the petition.
5. Considering the submissions made by learned counsel for the petitioner and the long delay of three years, this Court directs the learned First Additional Family Court, Chennai to dispose of I.D.O.P.No.2519 of 2014, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
The Civil Revision Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
