When the matter was taken up today, there is no representation for the petitioners.

Heard Mr.Yogesh Kannadasan, learned Special Government Pleader for the 1st respondent and Mr.S.Palanisamy, learned counsel for the 2nd respondent and perused the materials available on record. 2/5

The petitioners, who were working as Junior Assistants, Assistant and Cashier in the 2nd respondent Society had retired from service on 31.07.2016, 31.05.2016, 29.02.2016 respectively. The grievance of the petitioners is that they have not received the retirement benefits and hence, they made representations on 20.02.2018 requesting the 2nd respondent to disburse the retirement benefits. But no action has been taken by the 2nd respondent so far.

Since the representations of the petitioners dated 20.02.2018 are said to be still pending without consideration, I feel it is appropriate to direct the 2nd respondent to consider the representations of the petitioners and dispose the same, after affording an opportunity to the petitioners of personal hearing to produce the relevant materials to substantiate their claim and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. With the above observation, these Writ Petitions are disposed. No costs.
