ORDER
Alleging contempt of the order passed by this Court in W.A.No.531 of 2017 dated 06.07.2017, this contempt petition has been filed.
2.When this contempt petition was taken up, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents has submitted that only 9 witnesses have been examined in the criminal case and 31 more witnesses have to be examined.
3.Taking note of the above submission, this Court is of the view that it would not have been possible for the Special Court for early disposal of the criminal case, within the time as directed in the judgment passed in the writ appeal. Having regard to the number of witnesses to be examined, a time of 4 more months is granted from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, to complete the trial and to dispose of the criminal case. It is made clear that subject to the result of the criminal case, a decision shall be taken by the authorities in the manner known to law.
4.With the above observation, the contempt petition is closed.
