O R D E R

This petition has been filed to direct the respondents 2 and 3 to provide adequate police protection enabling the petitioner to enforce the order passed by the Revenue Divisional Officer, Thiruvannamalai dated 13.06.2018.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that he is the owner of the property comprised in S.Nos.54/4&5, 55/1&4 and 47 (New Survey No.68/2, 68/3 and 68/4) to an extent of 3.32 acres of agricultural land situated in Su. Kilnachipet Village and that https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

there are some encroachers who are squatting on the property and preventing the petitioner from enjoying the same. In this regard, proceedings were conducted by the Revenue Divisional Officer and directions have been issued by the Tahsildar, Tiruvannamalai, to the Deputy Superintendent of Police for removing the encroachments. It is pertinent to state here that the Tahsildar, by his letter dated 16.08.2018, has directed the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Rural Sub Division, Tiruvannamalai, to provide sufficient police protection to the petitioner and remove the encroachments.

3. Today, Mr.A.Syed Mubarak, Special Sub-Inspector of Police, Veriyur Police Station, Tiruvannamalai District, is present. On instructions, learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that on account of Vinayaka Chaturthi celebrations, the police were not able to provide necessary bandobust. Now that Vinayaka Chaturthi celebrations are over, the police is directed to provide sufficient police protection and implement the order dated 16.08.2018 passed by the Tahsildar, Tiruvannamalai, for removing the encroachments. Accordingly, this petition is ordered.
