ORDER

This Contempt Petition is filed to punish the respondent herein for having committed contempt of the order passed by this Court dated 06.08.2021 in W.P.No. 16302 of 2021.

2. The petitioner has filed the writ petition for issuance of Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records of the 2nd respondent in connection with the impugned order passed by him in Ref.No.16500/N1/2021-1, dated 28.05.2021 and the order of the 3rd respondent in R.No.53321/PHC7/A1/2021, dated 28.06.2021 and consequential direction to the respondents to consider the request of the petitioner for transfer to any one of the Hospitals in Tuticorin District on humanitarian grounds within a reasonable time.

3. On 06.08.2021, this Court passed the following order in the said writ petition:- "This Court considering the limited prayer now sought for by the learned counsel for the petitioner, without going into the merits of the case, directed the petitioner to submit a fresh representation to the fourth respondent within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of the same, the fourth respondent is directed to consider the fresh representation of the petitioner on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders within 12 weeks and thereafter, communicate the decision taken to the petitioner herein".

4. Today, when the Contempt Petition is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner/Contemnor is not present.

Mr.Sanjay Gandhi, learned Government Advocate, appearing for the respondent has produced a letter in Ref.No.57648/N2/2/2021, dated 30.03.2022 issued by the office of the Director of Medical and Rural Health Services, Chennai - 600 006, wherein it is stated that the transfer counselling for Nurses was conducted through Online from 25.08.2021 to 27.08.2021 by collecting option form from Nurses with respect to announced available vacancy on that date.

6. Recording the aforesaid lettter produced by the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent, the Contempt Petition stands closed.
