ORDER

Seeking a direction to the respondents police to register a complaint under Section 3(1) (x) of the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act and further direct the respondents to investigate the complaint registered as Crime No.986 of 2014, on the file of respondents within stipulated time, the petitioner has come up with this petition.

3. The petitioner seeks to amend the FIR on the ground that the Police Officer has excluded certain provisions of law. Unlike, the code of civil procedure which permits amendment of pleadings, there is no such provision in the code of Criminal Procedure.

4. Under such circumstances, this petition is dismissed with a direction that during the course of investigation, if the offence alleged by the petitioner is disclosed, the respondent shall file an alteration report or include the same in the final report.
