ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed praying to quash the Impugned

Rejection of the Respondent dated 28.01.2026 in the recruitment process initiated by Notification No. 2 of 2025 dated 21.08.2025 and consequently to direct the Respondent to conduct the physical endurance test to the petitioner and to declare the results for the same in a time bound manner 2.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is passionate to enter into police service. While so, the respondent issued notification No.2 of 2025 dated 21.08.2025 calling for application for the purpose of common recruitment to the posts of Grade-II Police Constable, Grade-II Jail Warder and Firemen. Pursuant to the notification, the petitioner became successful in written examination. Thereafter, he participated in the physical measurement test, in which the petitioner's height was initially measured as 168.8 c.m. and the required height is 170 cm, against which the petitioner preferred appeal and the appellate authority digitally measured as 169.4 c.m. which is short of 0.6 cm. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would further submit that admittedly the petitioner's height is more than 170 cm. Initially, he was measured as 168.8 cm, which is not sustainable one, thereby the petitioner

preferred appeal and the appellate authority digitally measured as 169.4 cm, which is short of 0.6 cm. Hence, this Court may issue a direction to produce the videograph recorded by the respondent and pass appropriate orders. 4.

Therefore, this Court issued direction and pursuant to the direction, the respondent produced videograph recorded at the time of measurement of the petitioner. On perusal of the videograph, the petitioner's digital measurement is 169.4 cm, which cannot be considered.

5. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs.
