O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed for direction to the respondent to select the petitioner for any one of the posts i.e. Jail warden or Fireman.

Heard, the learned counsel appearing on either side. 3.

The respondent called for applications for recruitment for the posts of Grade-II Police Constables. The petitioner applied and attended the physical test. The cut off mark for the category of MBC is 67. However, the petitioner was not selected for any post. Therefore, he made representation to appoint him in any one of the posts. 4.

On perusal of the counter filed by the respondent, revealed that the petitioner secured 52 marks in the written test and 12 marks in the Physical Efficiency Test. Totally, he had secured 64 marks and he 2/4

belongs to MBC community. The cut off mark for MBC under open quota is 67 for Tamilnadu Special Police, Firemen, Jail Warder. Since the petitioner did not secure the required mark for Armed Reserve, Tamilnadu Special Police, Jail Warder and Firemen, he was not selected for any of the posts. Therefore, the prayer sought for in this writ petition cannot be considered.

Accordingly, this writ petition is dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs.
