This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the second respondent to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 20.09.2024 wherein the petitioner is seeking for adding his name in the patta with respect to the subject property.
2. Heard Mr.V.K.Sakthivel, learned counsel for petitioner and Mr.S.Jayachandran, learned Government Advocate appearing for respondents.
3. The grievance of the petitioner is that earlier the petitioner was a joint patta holder with respect to the subject property. However, when the OnLine patta was given, the name of the petitioner was deleted. Therefore, the petitioner made a representation in this regard for adding his name as a joint patta holder. On receipt of the representation, the petitioner was also called for an enquiry by the Tahsildar and the petitioner attended the enquiry. Thereafter, there was no progress. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court. 2/4
4. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the materials placed before this Court, there shall be a direction to the second respondent to pass appropriate orders based on the representation made by the petitioner on 20.09.2024 within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. This writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
