PRAYER: The Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Code of Criminal Procedure, issue direction to dispose of C.C.No.275 of 2014 pending on the file of the Fast Track Court No.II, Magistrate Level, Coimbatore as expeditiously as possible within the period of stipulated time.

The Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking for a direction to dispose of the C.C.No.275 of 2014 pending on the file of the Fast Track Court No.II, Magistrate Level, Coimbatore..
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is a complainant in C.C.No.275 of 2014 pending on the file of Fast Track Court No.II, Magistrate Level, Coimbatore. The complaint has been filed in respect of dishonour of the cheque for Rs.6,00,000/- dated 16.06.2013. He would further submit that the trial for the offence under Section 138 of NI Act has to be heard summarily, whereas, the petition is pending for the past eight years. He would reiterate that right of speedy trial is a constitutional guarantee given to every citizen.

3. In view of the above, direction is issued to the learned Judge, Fast Track Court No.II, Magisterial Level, Coimbatore to dispose the case in C.C.No.275 of 2014 as expeditiously as possible preferably, within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order on taking account of the merits of the case.
