By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

2.The petitioner would state that his son viz. Mohamed Aslam, was born on 4.3.1998, and on his behalf, he applied for a passport and it was issued on 19.8.1999, in No.A8163090, and after it's expiry, he applied for issuance of a passport and it was also issued on 14.11.2005, in No.F5464001. Once again, after it's expiry, an application was made and a fresh passport was issued on 14.3.2011, in No.J4699150, and it's date of expiry is 13.3.2016. According to the petitioner, on verification of the passport No.J4699150, he found that the date of birth of his son has been wrongly mentioned as 24.3.1998, and in the earlier passport, the date of birth has been correctly entered as 4.3.1998. The petitioner, on noticing the same, submitted a detailed representation on 7.3.

2015, enclosing all the relevant documents to show that his son was born only on 4.3.1998, and not on 24.3.1998, and though it was received and acknowledged on 10.3.2015, by the respondent, he has not been favoured with any response and therefore, came forward to file this writ petition. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.

3.Heard the submissions of the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner, and Mr.Su.Srinivasan, learned Additional Solicitor General, who accepted notice for the respondent. 4.Though the petitioner has prayed for a larger relief, this Court, in the facts and circumstances of the case, directs the respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 7.3.2015, in accordance with law, after affording an opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner, and pass orders as expeditiously as possible and not later than four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision to the petitioner. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
