ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) The present writ petition is filed, under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking a direction to 3rd respondent to take appropriate proceedings against the 6th and 7th respondents and recover the possession of Sri Vedaranyaswarar Swamy Thirukovil, Vedaranyam, by considering petitioner's representation dated 05.01.2026.

2. Learned Special Government Pleader appearing for respondents 2 and 3, on instruction, submitted that third respondent has initiated proceedings under Section 78 of the Tamil Nadu Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Act, 1959 and it is now pending consideration before the second respondent and that the enquiry is scheduled on 26.03.2026.

3. In view of the aforesaid submissions, we direct second respondent to complete the proceedings in accordance with law, as

expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. This Court has not expressed any opinion on merits.
