The prayer in the present petition is to direct the respondent police to expedite the investigation in Crime No. 387 of 2016 pending on the file of the respondent police and to file the final report within a stipulated period of time.

2. When the matter is called today, Mr.P.Govindarajan, learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that a charge sheet has been filed as Mistake of Fact in Crime No.387 of 2017 and copy of the same has been produced before this Court.

3. Recording the submissions made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Criminal Original Petition stands closed. It is always open to the petitioner to challenge the charge sheet in the manner known to law.
