Prayer: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. to direct the learned Judicial Magistrate No.2, Ponneri or any other Judicial Magistrate at Tiruvallur District to receive the charge sheet filed by the first respondent police and proceed in accordance with law and dispose of the same within a stipulated period of time.

O R D E R

The prayer in the present petition is to direct the learned Judicial Magistrate No.2, Ponneri or any other Judicial Magistrate at Tiruvallur District to receive the charge sheet filed by the first respondent police and proceed in accordance with law and dispose of the same within a stipulated period of time.

2. It is brought to my notice by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor as well as the learned counsel for the petitioner that the learned Judicial Magistrate No.2, Ponneri is the jurisdictional Magistrate to receive the charge sheet for the cases filed under the land grabbing offences.

3. Hence, there shall be a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate No.2, Ponneri to receive the charge sheet filed by the first respondent herein in connection with the Crime No. 1374 of 2011.

4. With the above observation, this Criminal Original Petition stands allowed.
