The petitioner - Mrs.Geetha was appointed as a staff nurse on consolidated pay on 18.1.2008 at Arupukottai Government Hospital, Thereafter, her services were regularised by the 2nd respondent and on doing so, she was posted as Staff nurse at Namakkal District Government General Hospital, Namakkal on 14.12.2011. As she is married and her husband is working abroad,

she is taking care of her three years old son along with aged persons, who are settled permanently at Madurai and also the father-in-law and mother-in-law, who are settled at Dindigul. Her grievance is that while she was working at Namakkal District Government General Hospital, by order dated 19.8.2003, she has been diverted to work at Government Hospital, Vadasanthur, Dindigul district. As a result, she has been working in the Government Hospital, Vedasanthur, Dindigul District. As there is a vacancy at Government Hospital, Vedasanthur, Dindigul District itself, in which she is admittedly working, she has given a representation dated 10.3.2016 to permanently retain her in the same place. As the said representation has not been considered by the respondents, she has come to this Court by filing the present writ petition.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner. Learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for respondents taking notice submits that a reasonable time may be granted to the 2nd respondent to consider the representation made by the petitioner.

3. Considering the submissions made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader, Respondent No.2 is directed to consider the petitioner's representation and pass appropriate orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
