This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the first respondent to renew "Thenninthaya Thirumana Amaipalargal Sangam", under Registration No.63 of 2000.
2. The case of the petitioner-Sangam is that it is registered under the Tamil Nadu Societies Registration Rules, 1978 on 17.05.2000 at Erode. The petitioner-Sangam had completed more than 20 years of service and has given the benefits to the Marriage Brokers and Society who seek Bridegrooms. The petitioner-Sangam was renewed periodically and is conducting General Body Meetings and Elections as per Rules and Regulations/bye laws under the Tamil Nadu Societies Registration Act. While so, the President and other office bearers of the petitioner/Sangam met the first respondent and furnished all the relevant documents as per the instructions of first respondent. However, the first respondent did not take any initiative steps to renew the petitioner/Sangam.
Further, the petitioner approached the respondents on various dates and sent a legal notice through Advocate on 10.03.2020 to the first respondent and on 19.11.2020 to the second respondent for renewal of the petitioner/"Thenninthya Thirumana Amaipalargal Sangam". After receipt of notice, the respondents have not taken any steps for renewal of the petitioner/Sangam. Therefore, earlier, the petitioner/Sangam filed Writ Petition in W.P.No.8427 of 2020 to consider their petitioner representation, dated 20.04.2020 therein and seeking monetary relief to the members of the Sangam on the reason that they had become jobless due to Covid-19 Pandemic and this Court disposed of the said Writ Petition by order dated 17.07.2020, directing the respondents therein to consider the petitioner's representation.
So far, the petitioner/Sangam representations were not considered by the respondents. Hence, the petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition, seeking direction to renew the petitioner/Sangam.
3. Though very many grounds have been raised, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that, it would suffice, if this Court issues direction to the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 10.03.2020 and pass orders on the same, within a particular time frame that may be fixed by this Court.
4. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents has no objection for said order being passed.
5. Considering the limited request made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court issues direction to the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 10.03.2020, if it is otherwise in order, and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
