The petitioners herein, whose services were terminated by the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Theyagaraya Nagar District, Chennai Police by order dated 26.1.2016, have preferred appeals on 20.2.2016 before the respondent. As their livelihood is at stake, they prayed this Court to give a direction to the respondent to dispose of their pending appeals on merits and in accordance with law.

2. Mr.R.Vijayakumar, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for respondents.

3. This Court finds no impediment to consider the request made by the petitioners for a direction to dispose of the appeals preferred before the respondent at an early date, considering the fact that the petitioners were terminated from service on 26.1.2016.

Accordingly, the respondent is hereby directed to consider the appeal petitions dated 20.2.2016 preferred by the petitioners on merits and in accordance with law within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
