Contempt petition filed under Section 11 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 to punish the respondents for wilful disobedience of the order passed by this court in W.P.No.27548 of 2016 dated 14.06.2016 as per the Contempt of Court Act.

O R D E R

Pursuant to the order passed by this Court in W.P.No. 27548 of 2016 dated 14.06.2016, the respondent Transport Corporation passed an order in proceedings No.27548/L1/L-C/TNSTC(VPM)KPM/16, dated 10.4.2019 wherein it is stated that as per the calculation memo filed by the respondent, commutation amount of Rs.2,38,875/-, P.F. amount of Rs.1,34,599/-, E.W.S. amount of Rs.6,138/- and I.R.T. Rs.3,760/- have been settled to the petitioner.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner disputed the calculation arrived by the respondent. The dispute raised by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner cannot be agitated in the contempt petition. The petitioner if aggrieved by the aforesaid calculation, it is open to the petitioner seek appropriate remedy in the manner

known to law.

3. In view of the above, the contempt petition is closed. No costs.
