ORDER

The writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representations dated 13.09.2025 and 18.11.2025 and consequently disburse the balance amount allegedly due towards the execution of tender work awarded by the 2nd respondent.

2. It is stated that the 2nd respondent invited tenders for laying tar roads and cement flooring in various wards within the limits of Vaniyampadi Municipality. The total value of the work was approximately Rs.250 lakhs. The petitioner participated in the tender process and became the successful bidder. Pursuant thereto, the 2nd respondent issued a work order in Roc.No.1615/2014/E1 dated 27.11.2015. The petitioner claims that he had successfully executed the tender work awarded by the 2nd respondent and that a sum of Rs.54,27,113/- towards the work executed is still pending. Though representations dated 13.09.2025 and 18.11.2025 were submitted seeking disbursement of the balance amount, no orders have been passed. Hence this writ petition.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that it would suffice, if a direction is issued by this Court to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representations, within a time frame.

4. Learned Government Counsel appearing for the respondents submitted that the petitioner's representations would be considered in accordance with law by the 2nd respondent.

5. In view of the limited prayer sought for, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the claim, the 2nd respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's representations dated 13.09.2025 and 18.11.2025 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
