Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issuance of a Writ of Certiorai, calling for the records of Na.Ka.No.br/bgh-,&ng-bgU-t/Mnfh?8-m/vz;/d?2015 dated 11.06.2015 and quash the same and consequently direct the respondent to give 5HP electricity connection to Resurvey No.251 of Vaniaputhur Village Gopi Taluk, Erode District.

O R D E R
The grievance of the petitioner is that his applicaton for shifting the electricity service connection was not considered by the TANGEDGO. In this context, the respondentTANGEDCO issued a revised Regulation, which was published in Tamil Nadu Government Gazette on 30.12.2020.

2. As per the new Regulation, shifting of electricity service connection is permissible and therefore, the respondents are directed to consider the case of the petitioner for shifting of electricity service connection in compliance with the provisions of the Regulations and by collecting all necessary charges, if any, as per the Rules in force. In other words, in the event of complying with the procedures contemplated and paying the necessary charges, the application submitted by the petitioner for shifting of electricity service connection is to be considered as expeiditously as possible.
3. With the abovesaid directions, the writ petition stands disposed of. However, there shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
