Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondent to pass orders on the representation made by the petitioner dt: 30.12.2016 within a reasonable time and grant such other further relief as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit in the circumstances of the case.

The Mercy Petition, submitted by the writ petitioner before the respondent on 30.12.2016, challenging the order of removal from service, is under consideration in the present writ petition.

2. The writ petitioner was serving as a Head Constable and on account of certain allegations, departmental disciplinary proceedings were initiated and after conducting an enquiry, the penalty of dismissal from service was imposed. The writ petitioner was preferred an appeal and it was rejected. Against the order passed in the appeal, a revision was filed and the same was also rejected and hence, all the appropriate remedies were exercised and personal representation submitted by the writ petitioner before the Government on 30.12.2016, to pass appropriate modified orders of compulsory retirement, is yet to be considered.

3.Thus, the respondent is directed to consider the Mercy petition submitted by the writ petitioner and pass orders in accordance with law within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The writ petitioner is directed to enclose all relevant documents, if any, along with the order passed in the present writ petition.
