ORDER

The present criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent police to file final report in the Crime No.8 of 2016 dated 30.12.2016.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that she has lodged a complaint with the respondent police as against her husband and five others and the same was registered in Crime No.8 of 2016. Though the said complaint was registered as early as on 30.12.2016, till date, final report was not filed. Hence, the present petition.

3. I have heard the learned Additional Public Prosecutor.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court directs the respondent to investigate the case in Crime No.8 of 2016 pending on her file and file a final report, as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The Criminal Original Petition is ordered accordingly.
