ORDER

W.M.P.No.9344 of 2026 filed seeking permission to the petitioners to join together and file a single writ petition is ordered on payment of separate court fee.

2. This writ petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioners' representation dated 30.11.2025 on the ground that till date the respondents have not utilized the property for the purpose of land acquisition and neither have they paid any compensation to the petitioners. The petitioners claim that they are the owners of the property more fully disclosed in the affidavit filed in support of the writ petition. 2/6

3. According to the petitioners, they came to know that the subject lands were acquired in the year 1996 for Adi-dravidar Welfare purposes. However, till date, the respondents have not utilised the lands for the said purpose and they have also not paid any compensation to the petitioners. The petitioners had earlier given a representation on 30.11.2025 to the respondents seeking for reconveyance of the lands to the petitioners since the lands have not been utilised by the respondents for the purpose for which they were acquired. Since the said representation was not considered by the respondents, the petitioners have filed this writ petition.

4. As seen from the representation dated 30.11.2025, the said representation was sent by way of a legal notice through the petitioners' lawyers. Necessarily, the petitioners will have to now submit a fresh representation seeking for the relief as prayed for in the said representation. No prejudice will be caused to the respondents if a direction is issued to them to consider the same on merits and in accordance with law within a time frame fixed by this Court. This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioners' representation. 3/6

5. For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the petitioners to submit a fresh representation to the first respondent seeking for reconveyance of the property more fully disclosed in the affidavit filed in support of this writ petition in favour of the petitioners due to the alleged non-usage of the property for the purpose for which they were acquired within a period of two (2) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of the said representation within the stipulated time, the first respondent shall pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law after giving due consideration to the supporting documents filed by the petitioners within a period of three (3) months thereafter. This writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. 10.03.2026 Index: Yes/No NCC:Yes/No Speaking Order/Non-speaking order gm 4/6
