Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of Mandamus forbearing the respondents 1 to 5, their men, agents or any other persons acting through them, from in any way interfering with the petitioner's peaceful possession and enjoyment of his land and house situated at S.No.321/19A, Pillangulam Village, Veppanthattai Taluk, measuring an extent of 0.01.5 ares (3 cents) unless or otherwise by due process of law. ORDER

(Made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) We have heard Mr.A.E.Ravichandran, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.C.Kathiravan, learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents 1 to 5.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that after filing of the writ petition, the petitioner is issued with a notice under Section 7 of the Land Encroachment Act, 1905.

3. The petitioner may reply to said show cause notice, which shall be considered by the authorities before proceeding under Section 6 of the Act.

4. The writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, W.M.P.No.6549 of 2024 is closed. (S.V.G., CJ.) (D.B.C., J.) 07.03.2024 Index :
