The petitioner has come to this Court challenging the correctness of the order impugned dated 27.1.2016 passed by the Assistant Public Information Officer, Traffic Department, Chennai Port Trust, wherein it has been mentioned that Mr.G.Subramanian, Ex.Coupling Porter Grade-I was removed from Trust service with effect from 04.02.2013 for his unauthorized absence. Therefore, the said order says that he is not entitled for any terminal benefits. The Order further says that if the petitioners are not satisfied with the said reply, the petitioners may appeal to the Deputy Chairman and First Appellate Authority, Chennai Port Trust, No.1, Rajaji Salai, Chennai - 600 001 within thirty days from the date of receipt of the said letter.
2. Since a remedy is available to the petitioners to make an appeal before the appropriate authority viz., Deputy Chairman & First Appellate Authority, Chennai Port Trust as against the impugned order, the writ petition is dismissed, granting liberty to the petitioners to file an appeal against the order impugned within a period of thirty days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
