PRAYER : Writ Petition filed Under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents 1 to 5 herein to direct the Respondent 6 herein to issue the details about the 7th Respondent herein as per the Petitioner's representation dated 16.02.2015 under the Right to information Act.

O R D E R

The relief sought for in the present writ petition is to direct the sixth respondent to give details regarding the seventh respondent as per the petitioner's representation dated 16.02.2015 under the Right to information Act.

2. The petitioner claims that he sought for certain information from the Public Information Officer. However, he could not able to get any reply. Thus, the petitioner is constrained to move the present writ petition.

3. The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the first respondent made a submission that so far, they have not received any representation from the petitioner for the purpose of providing information under the Act. Rights to information Act provides certain procedures and therefore, the information seekers are bound to submit a proper application in an appropriate form to the authorities concerned enabling them to provide information in accordance with the provisions of the Act.

4. Thus, the petitioner is at liberty to submit a fresh application under the provisions of the Right to Information Act for the purpose of getting informations, which are all permissible under the provisions of the Act. In the event of filing any such application, the Public Information Officer has to provide information by following the procedures and rules within a time limit as contemplated under the Act.

5. With this liberty, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
