With consent, the main writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage.

The petitioner has come to this Court seeking a Writ of Mandamus directing the Joint Registrar of Co-operative Societies, Coimbatore, 1st respondent herein, to grant administration sanction to the 2nd respondent to regularise his service, as a packer, from 08.09.2000 in the 2nd respondent -Society by taking note of R.C.No.81392/09/SFI dated 14.09.2009,

as it was done in the case of Saravanan, by considering representations of the petitioner dated 04.09.2017 and 03.11.2017.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the Government had issued a letter No.22322/CGI/2005-2007 dated 02.11.2006 authorising Regional Joint Registrar of Co-operative Societies to regularise the service of the irregular appointment made from 08.07.1980 to 11.03.2001. He further contended that the petitioner was appointed within the period of the said Government letter and all the appointments made prior to 11.03.2001 were regularised. Since the petitioner is also working for the past 17 years in the 2nd respondent society, as packer, he has given representations dated 04.09.2017 and 03.11.2017 to regularise his services, but the respondents have not taken any decision, therefore, a direction may be issued, he pleaded.

A perusal of the appointment order passed by the President, K.2069, Veerakeralam Primary Agricultural Cooperative Bank Ltd., shows that the petitioner was appointed on 08.09.2000 on consolidated pay of Rs.800/-, since then the 2nd respondent has been utilising his service without regularising, for which, the petitioner has also given his representation.

5. Mr.L.P.Shanmughasundaram, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents and seeks four weeks time to consider the representations of the petitioner dated 04.09.2017 and 03.11.2017.

6.Considering the limited relief sought for in this petition and without going into the merits of the matter, this Court hereby directs the respondents to consider the representations dated 04.09.2017 and 03.11.2017 made by the petitioner and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

7. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
