O R D E R

The petitioner is the son of Thiru Gopal, who worked as Village Assistant in the Department of Revenue. The father of the petitioner died in harness on 31.01.1997 leaving behind the petitioner, two of his brothers, one sister and mother. The mother of the petitioner submitted an application for compassionate appointment on 6.6.1997 along with the required documents. Subsequently, the petitioner submitted a representation on 10.2.2014 requesting the first respondent to give him compassionate appointment. However. there was no follow up action taken by the respondents. The petitioner is therefore before this Court.

2. The first respondent is directed to consider and dispose of the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 10.02.2014 on https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

merits and in the light of the earlier application submitted by his mother on 6.6.1997. Such exercise shall be completed within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

3. The Writ Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
