A.No.911 of 2022 SENTHILKUMAR RAMAMOORTHY, J The applicant seeks leave to sue respondents 1 to 3, 5 to 13, 15 to 28, 31, 33 and 34 before this court.

2. The suit is filed for an injunction restraining the respondents from infringing the applicant's copyright in the cinematographic film "The Kashmir Files". The applicant states that the movie is scheduled for release in Chennai, and that it is likely that the movie would be broadcast unlawfully through the websites and cable operators at Chennai.

3. Upon examining the draft plaint and the affidavit in support of this application, at least a part of the cause of action has arisen within the jurisdiction of this Court. Consequently, A.No.911 of 2022 is allowed by granting leave to the applicant to sue respondents 1 to 3, 5 to 13, 15 to 28, 31, 33 and 34 before this court. Consequently, the Registry is directed to number the suit and list the same tomorrow, i.e. on 11.03.2022, if it is otherwise in order. kal
