O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed in the nature of a Mandamus, seeking a direction against the respondents to pay the admitted amount of Rs.34,323/- to the 1st petitioner, and to pay a sum of Rs.14,341/- to the 2nd petitioner and Rs.24,298/- to the 3rd petitioner by considering their representations dated 28.12.2024 and 20.01.2025 towards encashment of earned leave surrendered by the petitioners along with 12% interest per annum from the date of retirement. 2.In the affidavit filed in support of the writ petition, it is stated that the petitioners joined the respondent Transport Corporation and retired from service on 30.11.2012, 30.09.2014 and 31.05.2018 respectively upon attaining the age of superannuation. According to the petitioners, they had surrendered earned leave before their retirement, but the same has yet to be paid by the respondents. They now seek the eligible amount along with interest for the delayed period. 2/4

3.A direction is given to the respondents to examine the petitioners' Service Register and determine whether the encashment of the earned leave surrendered had been paid to the petitioners and if not paid, pay the same along with the eligible benefits payable to the petitioners, with interest at 6% per annum from the date of retirement till date of actual disbursement. The entire exercise shall be completed within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4.With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
