Contempt Petition filed under Section 11 of the Contempt of Courts Act to punish the Respondents for willful disobedience of the order passed by this Hon'ble Court in W.P.No.1583 of 2017 dated 03.04.2017 as per the Contempt of Court Act.

O R D E R

This contempt petition has been filed to punish the Respondents for willful disobedience of the order passed by this Hon'ble Court in W.P.No.1583 of 2017 dated 03.04.2017.

2. Learned Standing Counsel appearing for the first respondent produced a memo showing the payment details made in favour of the petitioner, which is submitted that the entire amount has been paid.

3. However, the learned counsel for the first petitioner submitted that the gratuity difference amount itself has been worked out for a sum of Rs.3,10,000/-, and the respondents have not paid the entire amount.

4. In reply, the learned counsel for the respondent submitted that if there is any claim made by the petitioner on the gratuity amount, the petitioner has to work out the same by approaching the authority under Section 7 of the Gratuity Act 1972 and again reiterated her stand that the petitioner has been paid the gratuity difference amount also.

5. In the result, the Contempt Petition is closed, giving liberty to the petitioner to approach the authorities concerned and redress the grievances, if any.
