ORDER
This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the 1st respondent to reimburse the medical expenses of the sum of Rs. 7,84,145/- with interest under the Tamil Nadu Government New Health Insurance Scheme 2012 by considering the petitioners representation dated 20.12.2023.
2. It is the case of the petitioner that the petitioner is working as a Secondary Grade Teacher in Panchayat Union Middle School at Hosur Union, Krishnagiri District. Every month, a sum of Rs.150/- detected from her salary to the Government, New Health Insurance Scheme 2012 for her family members. As per the scheme, her husband and families are eligible to claim the medical claim amount from the insurance company. In such circumstances, the petitioner's husband was admitted in the hospital at Banalore due to massive upper Gi bleed as in patient for more than 19 days, for which, the petitioner had spent a sum of Rs.7,84,145/- for medical expenses and the said amount has not been reimbursed as requested by the petitioner. Hence, the petitioner made a representation on 20.12.2023 to the respondents and the same is not considered.
Hence, the present writ petitioner.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that this Court may direct the respondents to consider and pass orders on the petitioners representation within the stipulated time as fixed by this Court.
4. The learned counsel appearing for the respondents submitted that the representation will be considered and orders will be passed within the stipulated time as fixed by this Court.
5. Heard the learned counsel for both side and perused the materials available on record.
6. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and in view of the limited request sought for by the petitioner, this court directs the first respondent to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 20.12.2023 within a period of tewlve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
7. With the above directions, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs. 23-01-2026 rli
