The prayer sought for in this writ petition is to forbear the 2nd respondent from conducting written test on 03.06.2016 or on any subsequent date for the post of Laboratory Assistant in Chennai Port Trust Hospital without considering the claim of the petitioner for the said post since the petitioner is already working as Full Time Laboratory Technician on contract basis since 2013 and is having eligibility criteria for the said post of Laboratory Assistant.

2. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner seeks permission of this Court to withdraw the Writ Petition. He has also made an endorsement to that effect.

3. In view of the endorsement made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, the Writ Petition is dismissed as withdrawn. No costs. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
