This Writ Petition has been filed for direction directing the respondents to include the petitioner's name in the promotional panel for the post of Superintending Engineers/Electricals for the year 2011-2012 in Category-I, Division -III of Class - I of Tamil Nadu Electricity Board Service Regulations.

2. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents submitted that now the petitioner is aged about 61 years and as such, the prayer sought for in this Writ Petition has become infructuous.
