petitioners land comprised in survey No.509/2, situated at Thirumullaivoyal Village, Ambattur Taluk, Chennai District strictly based on the title deeds and fix the correct boundaries, ad directing the 4th respondent herein to provide necessary police protection at the time of conducting such survey, within a time frame to be fixed by this Honourable Court.

ORDER

Since the petitioner has arrayed the Commissioner of Police, Avadi, Chennai as the party fourth respondent in this writ petition, it would suffice for the present that the Inspector of Police, Thirumullaivoyal, Chennai grants police assistance if required by the third respondent and there is no necessity for the Commissioner of Police to be arrayed as party respondent in this writ petition. Therefore, by exercising the suo motu powers, the name of the fourth respondent is now substituted by the Inspector of Police, Thirumullaivoyal, Chennai.

2.This writ petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the third respondent to survey and demarcate the boundaries of the property, which according to the petitioner is owned by him, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

3.Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner had submitted an online application on 19.01.2026 for the aforesaid purpose. Since the same has not been considered till date, the petitioner has filed this writ petition.

4.Mr.C.Jayaprakash, learned Government Advocate accepts notice on behalf of respondents 1 to 3. Mr.R.Venkatatesa Perumal, learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) accepts notice on behalf of the fourth respondent. 5.No prejudice will be caused to the third respondent if the said authority is directed to survey and demarcate the boundaries of the petitioner's property, morefully described in the prayer to this writ petition, after hearing the objections if any from the neighbouring land owners and any other party whom the third respondent deems it fit. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of in the following manner:- (a) Before surveying the lands in question, the third respondent is directed to issue notice to the neighbouring land owners and also to any other party, whom the third respondent deems it fit to put on notice.

(b) After receiving objections if any and after considering the same, the third respondent shall conduct survey and demarcate the boundaries of the property,

morefully described in the prayer to this writ petition, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. (c) If the need arises for police assistance and on a request made by the third respondent, the fourth respondent shall render police assistance for the effective implementation of this order.

Registry is directed to carry out the necessary amendment and thereafter, issue order copy to the petitioner.
