Nos.7726 to 7731 of 2018 Prayer in all petitions: Petitions filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the third respondent to include the petitioners' name in the qualified candidates list dated 27.03.2018 and direct the respondents to conduct the election in accordance with law as claimed by the petitioners in their representation dated 31.03.2018. For Petitioners : Mr.B.Gopalakrishnan For Respondents: Mr.P.H.Aravindh Pandian, Additional Advocate General assisted by Mr.L.P.Shanmuga Sundaram, Special Government Pleader for R1 to R3 Mr.M.S.Palanisamy, Standing Counsel for R4 COMMON ORDER When the matters are taken up for hearing, Mr.L.P.Shanmuga Sundaram, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for respondents 1 to 3 would submit that in response to the direction given by this Court on 05.04.2018, election has been cancelled by order dated 06.04.2018 in Na.Ka.No.1399/2018/T.nj.1 (8).

2.In view of cancellation of election to the Co-operative Society, the writ petitions are disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected W.M.Ps. are closed.
