2024-02-28Honourable Mr Justice C.V. Karthikeyan2 pages

Crl.O.P.No.4615 of 2024 Crl.O.P.No.4615 of 2024 C.V.KARTHIKEYAN, J.

The petitioner/accused, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offence punishable under Sections 7, 8, 9(1) and 10 of Protection of Child from Sexual Offences Act 2012 in Crime No.20 of 2023, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The defacto complainant is the grandfather of the victim child. It is stated that the victim child had suffered misbehaviour and molestation from the hands of the accused and as a matter of fact, she had also informed her teacher when she was in 8th standard but the teacher did not take any notice of the same. However, the defacto complainant had lodged a complaint before the respondent.

3. The entire issue requires further investigation. The anticipatory bail will not lie. Hence, this Petition stands dismissed. 28.02.2024 vsg https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis
