O R D E R

The present Criminal Original Petition has been filed to modify the condition imposed on the petitioners in Crl.M.P.No.2079 of 2017 in Crime No.204 of 2017 dated 04.02.2017 on the file of the learned Principal Sessions Judge at Chennai.

2. It is the case of the petitioners that in connection with a case in Crime No.204 of 2017, they were arrested. Immediately, they moved a bail petition before the learned Principal Sessions Judge at Chennai in Crl.M.P.No.2079 of 2017 and the learned Judge, granted bail to the petitioners by imposing certain conditions. One of the conditions is that the petitioners should deposit a sum of Rs.4,000/- before the learned V Metropolitan Magistrate, Chennai. Since the petitioners are very poor, they are unable to deposit the said amount. In view of the same, the petitioners are not in a position to avail the benefit of the said order. Hence, seeking modification of the said order, the petitioners have come up

with the present petition.

3. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor has no serious objection to modify the said condition imposed on the petitioners.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is inclined to permit the petitioners to deposit a sum of Rs.2,000/- instead of Rs.4,000/-. Accordingly, the petitioners are permitted to deposit a sum of Rs.2,000/- (Rupees Two Thousand only) instead of Rs.4,000/- as per the bail condition imposed on them in Crl.M.P.No.2079 of 2017 dated 04.02.2017, by the learned Principal Sessions Judge at Chennai. The other conditions shall remain unaltered.
