The petitioner has filed the above Writ Petition to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to grant electricity
connection in S.F.No.156/7, Kollur Village, Villupuram under the Special Scheme for Agriculture.
2.It is the case of the petitioner that he has given an application on 06.04.2016 for electricity connection, however, the 5th respondent has not considered the same yet. 3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that it would be suffice to direct the 5th respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 06.04.2016 and pass orders within a time frame.
4.Mr.M.Varun Kumar, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents submitted that the 5th respondent may be directed to consider the petitioner's representation in accordance with law.
5.Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for by the learned counsel for the petitioner, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the 5th respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 06.04.2016 and pass orders, on merits and in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible. 6.With these observations, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
