Prayer : Writ Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent to declare the category of reservation in respect of the Reservation of office of the president of Vadamambakkam Village Panchayat in Kallakurichi District as General Category by considering the petitioner's representation dated 27.09.2016, 29.09.2016, 04.10.2016 and 03.12.2019 within a time to be fixed by this Hon'ble Court.

By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal.

2. Heard the learned counsel on either side.

3. The relief sought for by the petitioner is to interfere with the limitation process, which cannot be done by a Writ Court and there are several decisions to the said effect by the Hon'ble Supreme Court and this Court. However, the petitioner would state that he has made a representation to the respondents. If that is so, the petitioner is directed to pursue his representation before the District Collector, who shall consider the petitioner's representation and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law.

With the above direction, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
