This Civil Revision Petition has been filed to direct the Chief Small Causes Court, Chennai to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner in C.M.A.No.1 of 2015 on merits.

2. Aggrieved over the long pendency, the petitioner has filed this Civil Revision Petition for early disposal.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the appeal was taken on record before the lower appellate Court on 17.04.2015. The service was completed and posted for "appearance" on 27.11.2015. On 01.04.2016, there was an endorsement that "records received". But on 21.10.2016, again the status is shown as "await records". The learned counsel for the petitioner would further submit that the appeal is pending from 2015 without any progress.

4. This Court finds from the records that the appeal is pending from 2015 and on 01.04.2016, endorsement shows that records

were received. Thereafter, this Court is unable to understand as to how the appeal was posted to await records. Whatever it may be, since the appeal is pending for the past two years, considering the facts and circumstances, a direction is issued to dispose of the appeal.

6. Accordingly, the Chief Judge, Small Causes Court, Chennai, is directed to dispose of the appeal in C.M.A.No.1 of 2015 within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
