O R D E R

This Contempt Petition has been filed complaining wilful disobedience of the order dated 24.10.2024 passed by this Court in W.P. No.34249 of 2022.

2. While disposing the said writ petition, this Court directed the petitioners therein to make representations before the Competent Authority, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of copy of that order and on such representations being made, the respondents are directed to dispose of the same within a period of eight weeks there from by taking into consideration of the judgment of the Division Bench of this Court dated 24.08.2017 in W.A.(MD).No. 1152 of 2017 and in accordance with law after affording sufficient opportunity to the petitioners.

3. On behalf of the second respondent, a counter affidavit has been filed.

4. Based on the averments made therein, the learned counsel appearing for the second respondent would submit that the petitioners 2/5

submitted their representations on 11.11.2024 and after affording sufficient opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioners, the second respondent has passed order on 20.03.2025 and the same was communicated to the petitioners on 25.03.2025 under proper acknowledgement.

5. On careful perusal of the order dated 24.10.2024 passed by this Court and the averments made in the counter affidavit filed by the second respondent, it is clear that the second respondent who is the Competent Authority after considering the representation dated 11.11.2024 of the petitioners, has passed orders on 20.03.2025 by following the due process of law.

6. Thought there is a slight delay in implementing the order, in view of the facts and circumstances of this case, this Court is taking lenient view towards the delay and this Court is of the considered opinion that the order of the Court is complied with.

7. Accordingly, this Contempt Petition is closed. 3/5

8. Considering the request made by the learned counsel for the petitioners, liberty is granted to challenge the order dated 20.03.2025 issued by the second respondent if so adviced. 30.06.2025 Index :Yes/No AT 4/5
