By consent, the main writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

2. The petitioner claims that he is a voter of Karimangalam Panchayat Union, Dharmapuri District and in the last local body election Tmt.Tamilselvi, wife of one Kumar was elected as the Chairman of the said Panchayat Union and she continues to act in that capacity. The grievance expressed by the petitioner is that the said person ever since assuming office, she is awarding contract to the 3rd respondent, who is none other than her father in https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

law and pointing out the same, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 20.02.2015 to the 1st respondent and though it was acknowledged, he has not been favoured with any response, hence, came forward to file this writ petition.

3. Mr.A.Arumugam, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that since the alleged irregularities pointed out against the President of the local body are serious in nature, the 1st respondent is under statutory obligation to consider the same and pass orders in accordance with law.

4. Mr.Era Premnath, learned Government Advocate, accepts notice for respondents 1 and 2.

5. This Court, taking into consideration the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioner and without going into the merits of the representation, directs the 1st respondent to consider the representation dated 20.02.2015 submitted by the petitioner, on merits and in accordance with law, after putting on notice the 3rd respondent and Tmt.Tamilselvi, President of Karimangalam Panchayat Union and pass orders, as expeditiously as possible and not later than eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and inform the decision taken to the petitioner as well as to the persons concerned.
