ORDER

This contempt petition has been filed for wilful disobedience of the order of this Court dated 18.08.2022 passed in WP No.21206 of 2022.

When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate submitted that pursuant to the orders passed by this Court, a spot inspection was conducted and a report was given by the Zonal Block Development Officer and based on the same, BDO had directed the president of the Panjanathikulam Naduchetti Village Panchayat to assess the property tax in the name of Rajendran. Accordingly, the property tax was also assessed in the name of Rajendran and he has paid the property tax for the period from 01.04.2022 to 31.03.2022.

In the light of the above development, no further orders can be passed in this Contempt petition. The president of Panjanathikulam Naduchetti Village Panchayat is directed to immediately send a communication to the petitioner in this regard not later than one week from today. If the petitioner is aggrieved by the same, it is left open to the petitioner to work out his remedy in the manner known to law. 4.
