Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to pay interest for the belated payment of Provident Fund, Death cum Retirement Gratuity, Encashment of Earned Leave, Surrender Leave, and Commuted value of pension at the rate of 12% per annum with the time frame fixed by this Hon'ble Court.

ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed in the nature of a Mandamus seeking a direction against the respondents to pay interest for the delayed 2/5
payment of Provident Fund, Death cum Retirement Gratuity, Encashment of Earned Leave, Surrender Leave, and Commuted value of pension to the petitioners herein.
2. In the affidavit filed in support of the Writ Petition it had been stated that the writ petitioners were working under the respondent Corporation and retired from service on attaining the age of superannuation. It had been stated that the respondents had paid the retirement benefits with considerable delay. This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a mandamus to direct the respondents to pay interest for the delayed payment.
3. Heard the counsel for the respondents.
4. A direction is given to the respondents to examine the Service Records of the petitioners and the date on which the retirement benefits were paid and thereafter disburse the same and also grant interest at the rate of 6% per annum for the delayed payment from the date of retirement till the date of actual disbursement. The said exercise should be 3/5
completed within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With the above directions, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
