O R D E R

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Ms.P.Rajalakshmi, learned Government Advocate, who took notice for the respondent and with their consent, the main writ petition itself is taken up for disposal.

This writ petition has been filed for the issuance of a writ of mandamus to direct the respondent to mutate the Revenue records by granting a Revenue Patta Transfer pertaining to the properties of the petitioner as comprised in Old Survey No.15 New Survey No.15/2A2 2B Bearing Plot Nos 19 20 21 28 located at Padhmapuram Village Pallipattu Taluk Thiruvallur by processing the Patta Transfer Application of the petitioner dated 18.08.2015 within a time frame.

Though the petitioner has prayed for a larger relief, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that it would be suffice if a direction is given to the respondent to dispose of the representation of the petitioner dated 18.08.2015 with regard to mutation of records, within a time frame.

In view above submission now made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, without going into the merits of the matter, the respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 18.08.2015 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording due opportunity to the petitioner as well as any of the interested parties.

The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
