ORDER
Petitioner has submitted medical bills for the treatment given to his wife to the tune of Rs.4,32,000/-. The same was not reimbursed. Therefore, he made a representation on 04.07.2017. The representation is still pending and the respondent has not come out with a reply whether the petitioner is entitled to medical reimbursement or not? Aggrieved over the same, the petitioner is before this Court.
2. Mr.L.P.Shanmugasundaram, Special Government Pleader takes notice on behalf of the respondents.
3. According to learned Special Government Pleader, the wife of the petitioner is a State Government employee and therefore he is not entitled to reimbursement. Be that as it may, when a representation is made, it is incumbent upon the authorities either to accept it or reject it. They cannot keep the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
representation in cold storage without giving any reply. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, a direction is given to the 1st respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner on merits and pass a reasoned order within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
With the above direction, writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
